Holman Law (previously known as the Holman Kaye Law Group) provides comprehensive estate planning and administration services. We have helped hundreds of clients develop family and wealth protection plans to achieve personal goals in the most tax-effective manner possible.
We assist many individuals whose needs are fairly basic (e.g., a simple will and trust, power of attorney, and advance health care directive). In addition, we regularly work with clients whose complex needs require advanced technical expertise and sophisticated planning techniques. Whatever your needs, we work closely with you to understand your goals and craft a suitable plan to carry out your wishes.
Even with the best planning, there still may be substantial administration work required when a person passes or becomes disabled. We are here to assist with every step of this process as well.
Our firm, professional ethic is to earn and maintain the repute of "trusted counselor" through:
We assist people whose estate planning needs range from basic documents – such as wills, revocable trusts, durable powers of attorney, and advance health care directives – to more sophisticated tools, including life insurance trusts, special needs trusts, charitable trusts, IRA trusts, and personal residence trusts, to name just a few.
Whether someone did comprehensive estate planning or no planning at all, at least some administration work is required following his or her death. Whatever is needed, we help people navigate the process. Some clients need only a little bit of guidance, while others want us to do most of the heavy lifting.
A big part of our practice is helping people fix existing estate plans that are deficient in some way. Often times, the issues are major. Many problems, when spotted early, are quite easy to fix. But even in cases where it might seem "too late" (e.g., after a trust has become irrevocable), there is often a lot we can do to improve the outcome.
Although our practice is focused on trust and estate planning and administration, we regularly help clients in some related practice areas including real estate, business and tax law.
